Why run for Women’s Aid?

“Fundraising as part of #TeamWomensAid has been super fun and easy! I have had incredible support from the team. Women’s Aid will always be a charity close to my heart, so when I decided to challenge myself to a half marathon, it was a no brainer! You are accepted into a community of like-minded people who look out for you.”

Almost 1 in 3 women experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. The devastating mental, social, economic and physical impact can stay with survivors long after the relationship is over.

By lacing up your trainers and putting on a Women’s Aid running vest, you are going the extra mile for survivors. Our #TeamWomensAid runners contribute to life-saving work through their sponsorship, ensuring more women escaping abusive relationships can access support through our frontline services.
