Cookies, Candies & Community

Cookies, Candies & Community If you didn’t make it to the 4th Annual Cookie Walk in December, you missed out on some wonderful Christmas treats. More than 50 varieties of cookies, candies, bars and breads were available to purchase. More than $3,000 was donated to A Friend’s House during the Cookie Walk from community members. Thanks to the help of several volunteers and our residents, the event went smoothly.
Individuals were waiting outside the building before the event started, and they continued to stream in throughout the morning. In fact, a couple people purchased their cookies, went home and came back a second time to buy more. Some participants purchased goodies for their extended family gatherings, while others planned to freeze some of the cookies to enjoy after the holidays.
Mark your calendars now to attend this year on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011.
