Survivor Claire Throssell\u2019s two sons, Jack, 12, and Paul, 9, were both killed by their father, despite her warnings that he was a danger to them. She has since campaigned tirelessly to stop unsafe child contact with dangerous perpetrators of domestic abuse. Due to her commitment and resolve, family courts are safer \u2013 it\u2019s now mandatory for the courts to determine whether children will be at risk of harm from a contact order, and perpetrators are no longer able to cross examine their victims in court.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\u201cThere are many reasons why I have decided to support this worthy campaign. Having experienced the judicial process and its protocols, the tragic outcome that occurred whilst court proceedings were still ongoing highlights and expose flaws and malpractice within family law. This malpractice ultimately can and does destroy people\u2019s lives.\u201d\n\n\u201cAttending court is an emotional, frightening and at times a traumatic experience which nobody decides to initiate lightly \u2013 but does so to protect their children\u2019s physical and emotional wellbeing.\u201d\u00a0\n\n\u201cNo parent should have to hold their children and comfort them as they die or be told that their child has been harmed in an act of revenge or rage.\u00a0 There are often many facets to one family\u2019s breakdown, and all too often children\u2019s voices are not heard or acted upon.\u201d\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
