Elizabeth
When Elizabeth was younger she hated change, especially the change that occurred when her body began to develop.
A Friend's House is dedicated to encouraging women to understand the past, live in the present, and prepare for the future in a healthy, positive manner and from a Biblical worldview.
We are a long-term residential facility that can house seven young women. On average the women are between the ages of 18 and 28 years old, but we’ve worked with several women in their 30s. We do not accept minors.
All of the care, women's therapy and training are offered free-of-charge to our residents. We accept no government funds. We are supported through gifts from individuals, churches, corporations and foundations.
A portion of our building is not fully remodeled yet, and our long-term goal is to finish this area for women and their children to live and receive help. While we do not have a date set for being able to offer this service, our Board of Directors is working on policies and procedures. If you are interested in helping us remodel and furnish this area, please email Pam at pam@afriendshouse.net
Your contibution could make a difference! We would be able to provide help for women that did not have such an opportunity before.
